The future for the Charlestown Rope walk looks bright. The Rope walk is on it’s way to being refurbished, and turned in to a museum as well as apartments. The Rope walk museum will showcase the history of the Naval Yard and how the Rope walk was used from it’s construction to it’s retirement. There will be live demonstrations of how the rope was made and displays showing the great history the building holds.
The Rope walk in Charlestown is a historic part of Boston and deserves to be treated with respect and care and should be enjoyed by everyone. Progress is under way to revitalize the Rope walk. Here are some renderings of what will be.
